about

Studio Palatova loves to combine classical with modern, creating elegant, clean, engaging, and, above all, functional solutions for a wide range of clients. Studio P was established in 1999 by Asya Palatova who worked as an art director for companies such as Town & Country, Martha Stewart, Metropolis, InStyle, The Monacelli Press, Norton Books, and Stewart Tabori & Chang, to name a few.

Asya began her graphic design education at the University of Cincinnati’s College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning. She moved to New York City to work at Pentagram shortly after graduating. At Pentagram Asya created identity design, environmental graphic design and editorial design solutions for clients such as The Council of Fashion Designers of America, American Ballet Theatre, and Mohawk Paper.

After a brief stint in London, she was hired as an associate art director at Martha Stewart Living magazine, where she produced stories and art directed photo shoots. Asya took two years to earn an MFA at RISD, moving on to art direct Body & Soul (now Whole Living) magazine, a Martha Stewart publication. Asya now focuses on her own graphic design practice, Studio P, where she enjoys web and print projects, as well as taking time to develop her ceramics line called gleena.
